Our speaker: Michael Forde Ripich
Michael Forde Ripich is President and CEO of AT&F in Cleveland Ohio. AT&F is a global producer of components for large-scale construction and mining equipment, fabrication for shipbuilding and defense, power plant components, specialty stainless steel and alloy process equipment to the serve chemical industry and alternative fuel producers.
Started in 1940 by Michael’s great grandfather as The American Tank and Fabricating Company, today AT&F, wholly owns and operates AT&F Co., AT&F Nuclear, Inc. and AT&F Advanced Metals LLC. The company also has lightweight vehicle armor capabilities in its AMTANK Armor, LLC (USA) and Composhield, A/S (Denmark) subsidiaries. Since 2010, AT&F Co. operates ATF India Fabrication PVT LTD (India) providing infrastructure fabrication for the power, port, and shipbuilding industries.
Michael Ripich began at AT&F in 1989 as a Director of Training and Development, focusing on continuous improvement and organizational culture. He subsequently held lead positions in human resources, operations and business development. Since 2008, Ripich has served as President of AT&F Co. and was recently named CEO. The company has 600,000 SF of manufacturing facilities in NE Ohio and 250 team members.
Michael Ripich is an alumnus of Boston College, Case Western Reserve University and Harvard Business School. He is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and is also Board President of The Friends of the Historic Varity Theatre, a nonprofit organization and is dedicated to the renovation of a 1900 seat vaudeville style theater built in 1927.

Speaker Bio: Our Luncheon Keynote Speaker – Joy Roller
As President of Global Cleveland since January 2013, Joy Roller leads a civic/corporate initiative to increase the population of Greater Cleveland and strengthen the region’s economy by connecting foreign and domestic newcomers to its opportunities, resources and services. Prior to her work at Global Cleveland, Joy served as Executive Director of the Gordon Square Arts District for six years. The internationally-recognized, arts-based economic development initiative transformed Cleveland’s Detroit Shoreway neighborhood into an arts and entertainment destination. In addition to her economic development experience in Gordon Square, Roller brings experience as a television producer and political campaign manager to her current position. Roller holds a Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland State University’s John Marshall College of Law, a Masters of Theological Studies degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and economics from Denison University.
Presentation: “ Migration – The Economic Imperative”
Here are the main points in Joy’s presentation: 1) How has the environment in Cleveland and North East Ohio changed to be able to attract highly skilled and educated people to the region. 2) What improvements have been made to accomplish this change 3) What needs to done, what are the plans and what is in the pipeline for the city and region to make Cleveland an attractive place to move to and start a business. 4) What is the role of Global Cleveland. 5) How can the international chambers of commerce assist Global Cleveland in accomplishing its goal and how can Global Cleveland assist the international Chambers to attract business to the region.
